Gomez should stay at The Valley, insists Luzon

Four Premier League clubs - Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City and Newcastle United - are now showing an interest in Joe Gomez.

However, Guy Luzon insists that he would be better off staying at The Valley. Luzon told The Football League Paper, 'I think now he is not ready to play in the Premier League. Now at his age he needs to play and only by playing consistently will he improve his level.'

'It is no doubt that we are the best place for him now. For the club and for him the best thing is to stay.'

Dont forget with Gomez hes the best player since Lee Bowyer to come out of our reserves i call them, once he establishes himself at the woolwich rejects where i think hell end up then u can bet that within 2 seasons he will make a massive big money move to man city who are also tracking him.He will become an england regular and replace johnson at right back my guess in a couple years time so lets get in the most for this player we can push the big clubs to at least 15m as hes under contract!.
We also get a sell on clause with Carl Jenkinson whos attracting west ham and liverpool who are willing pay over 25m for him that be around 2m to us in the summer big summer of changes lots of players comming in and going out rumours at ground saturday. On the u18s well done i only saw the first half as took my 2 sons with me but was impressed with hanlon up front and edwards along with mitov in goal who looks a real propspect hope loui at welling can snap him up on loan for the season next year in the conference will give him full confidence if he goes out on loan to them next year come on loui pick up a few gems!!!!!

Where do you get these numbers from Acworth? I just don't see how any of them are realistic.

The 8.5m is widely being reported for both gomez and cousins the prem have been told to buy english due to the new rules comming in for the prem set by the fa so obviously english clubs are not stupid and will up their value for their top players ,arsenal i know for a fact have been spying on both gomez and cousins for a while now so i wouldnt be to suprised see around 15m comming in for the both of them which will do just nicely straight back into the first team we hope ..if rd pinches all the dosh theyre be uproar

We need to hang onto these players if we are serious about trying for promotion next season.
