Wright-Phillips to Swindon?

Reports are circulating that Bradley Wright-Phillips is going on loan to Swindon for the rest of the season. Swindon have certainly favoured Charlton players recently, although he would not be able to link up with Paul Benson who has gone on loan to Cheltenham.

Richard 'Creepy' Crawley has tweeted his doubts, pointing out that Wright-Phillips is on big wages. Swindon are certainly financially troubled, having been put up for sale as an alternative to administration. However, it might be worth paying a wages subsidy to the Rocking Robins.

After performing excellently in League 1, Wright-Phillips has found it difficult to make the adjustment to a higher level.

Anthony Wordsworth has now signed for Ipswich. I still think there was some interest there on our part.

Personally I don't think BWP has had enough of a chance this season. He was part of a team early on that was struggling to find it's feet.

After we started to get to grips with this division, he has hardly had a kick.

A loan move would be a good thing perhaps for all parties concerned, though we have very little quality in terms of substitutions if he goes. That said, Powell doesn't use subs anyway...

I would prefer it if we kept BWP and gave him a run in the side. As a the comment stated, he along with the rest of the team struggled early on and lets not forget that BWP had 2 perfectly good goals ruled out for "offside".... one of these goals against Palarse!
BWP has definitely got the ability for Championship.... It would be nice to give a a go upfront with Kermo.... Haynes is a great player to bring on off the bench with his pace. Fuller is never going to play more than 2 games without getting injured unfortunately as he has bundles of talent and should be scoring bucket loads against defenders inferior to that he has played against most of his career even if he has lost a yard or two.
KEEP BWP

I tend to agree with the comments on retaining BWP and not loaning him out. When he has been played a few games back he did rather well and never stopped trying. If a striker doesn't score but plays for the team which is what BWP nowadays then he's worth keeping.

Also subs need to be brought on earlier if they are to effect the outcome of a game, the Subs against Sheffield Wednesday were all too late and should've been introduced when the momentum was with the away side.

BWP scored goals last season by playing ahead of Kermorgant. This season we have Kermo up front heading the ball on for the oppo's defenders. Not quite sure how that is supposed to work. If all he does is nod the ball forward then we need to have someone playing in front of him. Is it me?

His name is Cawley, not Crawley
