Brussels: Leamington have demonstrated their ambition by swooping for forward/attacking midfielder Reis Ashraf. Like many Leamington players, he is a Sky Blues youth academy product, but played for MK Dons last season. This year he has been working for the Glenn Hoddle soccer academy in Spain. It is a sign that Leamington are now preparing for Southern Premiership football as they continue their rise up the non-league pyramid.
The Brakes have quietly dropped the Charlton shield from their programme which celebrated the clubs' kit sponsorship by Joma. As my driver said when he dropped me at St.Pancras yesterday and saw my Charlton Athletic bag, 'Oh dear, oh dear.' Fed up as I am with the performances on the pitch, I will continue to display my loyalty to the club.
That is why I will renew my season ticket at the earliest opportunity. Failing to renew won't change the board's mind about the manager, it will deprive the club of much needed money.

The whole club needs a look at.Not only the first team,reserves and academy setups.No leadership to be seen in any of the current personnel
I agree that one has to look at the whole picture, particularly structures, rather than any one individual.
I have only managed one home match in 2009 - I'm sure my lack of support isn't that important - because of being out of the country and the situation could continue next year, but I will also be continuing with my season ticket. All the people around me, including old school friends, are also true supporters. It will be interesting to see how many of us put loyalty before sense.

i will coninue to go very regularly..but won't be renewing my season ticket. after all, there won't be a problem getting a ticket for any of the games will there..
All year I have felt like i was completely misled last summer..talk of promotion, renew now etc..and then once they got our money they started selling all the assets..
i don't begrudge the directors for doing their best for the club etc, but i won't be giving them my money in advance for sure..
Does anyone know which players are out of contract this summer other than Zheng Zhi and I believe Weaver?
Assuming Hudson will have to leave as he was brought in on a bosman so must have inflated wages. Can we afford to keep Fortune (he must have signed a contract whilst still in the Prem?). Bailey seems likely to be snapped up and the club may decide to cash in on Shelvey. So who do we expect to be left?

Rationally it doesn't make sense to buy a season ticket because there will be plenty of seats. However, I like to avoid the hassle of purchase and also like my current seat, notwithstanding the Bloke Behind Me. I feel that I owe Charlton some loyalty as they are the only club in London that will have me: I have been turned down by the House of Lords, the British Academy and I haven't dared try the Reform.
If I get a job before I need top renew then i'll renew otherwise i'll go match by match. Kins said 14 players were out of contract.
Season Ticket pricing and structure is absolutely crucial for the coming season. Obtaining tickets match to match will be a doddle thru website and lack of demand will facilitate swift walk up sales on matchdays. Charlton have never gone for including a cup match or 2 in the season ticket bundle. The Johnstone's Paint trinket will have to be free to all ST holders to muster any crowd at all. With CAFC's recent record in the cups the club would hardly be gambling if say the first 2 home matches in both cups were also included, its just about possible(!) that could mean quarter and semi-final ties but even at £10 adults and £1 kids this season's cup attendances were miserable and next terms' will be halved. Dartford FC have been creative in seeking interest: last night season-ticket holders from any League club were admitted free to their match. Even if only a handful of the millwall, charlton west ham etc supporters who attended return then the idea was a good'un. Charlton need to be similarly inventive with 09/10. If they get it wrong in a couple of years they may have to be offering local non-league supporters free admission just to get regular 4 figure crowds!
You are quite right, one has to be innovative about what is included in the season ticket package. I think the Johnstone's Paint was the LDV Vans and it includes some Conference sides which might mean an early exit for us. We could also be drawn away to a non-league side in the first round of the cup and make an early exit.
