Bougherra to Baggies?

It looks as if Majid Bougherra may now join West Bromwich Albion, the negotiations with Real Betis having foundered. A price somewhere over £2m is being talked about.

The news that Nicky Weaver is to have a scan on his knee is not encouraging, while Elliott has also picked up a knee injury. There is only one Callum Christie!

Still no comment from the Board. How can they expect supporters to commit to a season ticket when the poor buggers who have committed have been misled

I must say it is a struggle to be optimistic about the coming season , but to be fair , Bougherra ( from the minute he arrived and turned his back in that first appearance and let James McFadden score for Everton ) hasn't really been strong enough . I really don't understand what the supporters problem is with Fortune . Properly managed & motivated , he would be absolutely fine as a centre half in this league to get us promoted ( and much better than McCarthy by the way) . I think Pardew chops & changes too much. As my final blasphemy , I have always thought that letting Kevin Lisbie go was a bad move too . He was always going to score goals at this level. In our team last year , he would have scored 20 or more.
The midfield is the biggest problem by a mile , not strong enough or creative enough and Ambrose is just hopeless

Perhaps Pardew will give us some indication on Saturday?I think it is the least that 13000 loyal supporters deserve instead of being treated like fools
